The Social Landscape of Didcot, the urban, the abstract, and the art. This collection of images taken mostly between 2012 and 2016. A study of lines, shape, form, movement, texture and space. Elevating the dull and escalating the mundane. Early morning photo shoots create an atmosphere. With it's absence of cars and people, open space allows objects become sculpture and road markings like abstract art. The town becomes an installation. In 2017 An image of a pylon on the Abingdon road was used as the front cover of US rock band Black Swan Lane's 7th studio album. Since 2019 and the outbreak of Covid, masks and anxiety have been a constant "Covid Portrait" and "Comfort Eating" two new projects that have been growing daily. Also a love of land artist Richard Long's work has led me to create "Making a Mark" the concept of readymade art, creating an image not just taking one. During the 2020 lockdown I compiled all my work and ideas into a book called "Path & Place". In recent months I've also started to create a collection of provocative still life work exploring addiction and the dysfunctional state of mind.
